Entering data in Excel using AutoComplete

When entering text in a column, if you have entered the value before, Excel tries to be helpful and will attempt to complete the entry for you. You can also select the entry from a drop-down list.

Right click on the cell where you want to enter information and choose the Pick From Drop-down List option

Excel displays a drop-down list with the other items you have entered in the column, thereby allowing you to select an entry

In the cell, hold down the Alt key and press the down arrow to get a list of previously entered items
